Whenever i tried to load the page, the navigation frame closed and nothing further happened.

After a few seconds it occured to me that it might be blocked by Adblock+ because of the adv in the URL, so one has to disable adblock for the IP and the advanced wireless settings page can be viewed again.

Als ich gerade die Firmware meines Netgear WGR614 auf den neusten Stand gebracht habe, hatte folgendes Problem: Auf der Administrationsseite des Routers konnte ich nicht mehr auf die erweiterten Einstellungen für das Wlan zugreifen. Beim Anklicken des Links schloss sich das Menü und ansonsten passierte nichts mehr.

Schuld ist Adblock+, das die Seite blockiert, weil in dem Link der Wortbestandteil adv vorkommt, was als advert zu deutsch Werbung interpretiert wird. Also einfach eine Ausnahme für die jeweilige Router/Gateway IP hinzufügen und das Problem ist gelöst.
